OUR STORY
Founding Story For years, enjoying the shooting range and indulging in a fine dining experience meant two separate destinations. Bert Brown, and wife Kristina, sought to change that when they originated the idea for the “Guntry Club”- a marriage of the shooting sport and the country club lifestyle usually reserved for the most elite country clubs. At the time, the shooting sport was as popular as golf and growing in participation faster than any other sport. Brown, an owner of a small design firm with experience in ranges, noticed this trend and researched what shooters wanted in a range. Equipped with this knowledge, the first Governors Gun Club opened in 2013 in Powder Springs. In early 2018, Governors expanded operations into Kennesaw with an 87,500 square foot facility, more than 4 times larger than Powder Springs. The new location boasts 32 pistol and rifle lanes, and three 100-yard high-power rifle lanes. The biggest draw for shooters is the indoor sporting clay range, a first of its kind in North America, capable of trap, sporting clay, 5-Stand, and bunker trap. It even provides an observation balcony for spectating. There is also plenty of training available, from beginner to advanced, all to help customers grow their skills and become more responsible gun owners through qualified educators.

Kennesaw America’s Gun City is now home to our Nation’s premier indoor shooting facility! This new, state-of-the-art 87,500 sport shooting and convention facility in Kennesaw is absolutely unlike any other shooting range you have ever been to. Featuring an indoor shotgun field, 32 pistol and rifle rated shooting lanes, 100 yard indoor rifle range, firearms training simulators, and a private member’s lounge with one of the best restaurants in the Atlanta area.
