This 6-hour course is designed to build on topics presented in Handgun Fundamentals and Intermediate Handgun classes. It will also introduce students to additional concepts regarding the use of their firearm. Topics will include self-defense mindset, tactics, holster draw, engaging multiple targets and new shooting positions. Additional discussion topics will include use of cover & concealment, how to evaluate defensive positions in the home, and what to expect after a self-defense incident.

Required Course Materials

  • Students will be required to provide a personal firearm (preferably their personal protection handgun)
  • Minimum of three magazines (pistol) or two speed loaders (revolver).
  • 150 Round of live ammo**
  • Hearing and eye protection.
  • Minimum of 10 snap caps/ dummy rounds
  • Barrel Blok for your caliber firearm (
  • Note Pad, Pen and/or Pencil.
  • Note: All targets are provided as course material
  • Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes & no low-cut shirts.


**Due to limited ammunition availability, ammo counts are flexible. Firing drills will be coupled with dry practice. This will teach students how to successfully practice without ammunition, a valuable and necessary training skill.



Due to ammunition shortage all over the current market, we encourage you to bring your own ammunition to class to ensure participation in class.
By registering for this class, you are acknowledging that you are at least 18 years old and not legally prohibited from operating, possessing, transferring, or owning a firearm in the State of Georgia, as regulated by federal, state, and local laws. False notification or misrepresentation to legally possess firearms in the State of Georgia will result in student’s immediate removal from class and forfeiture of all course fees. By registering for this class, you are also hereby expressly assuming the risk of taking part in the course for instruction in firearms, and taking part in the activities, which include, but are not limited to, instruction in the use of firearms, the discharge of firearms, and the firing of live ammunition.
