New to firearms? Just bought your first handgun? This is the course built for you.

New Shooter Essentials is a 4-hour beginner handgun course covering everything a new owner needs to know — from how your firearm works to safely firing it on the range for the first time. No experience required.

What you’ll learn:

• Firearms safety rules and responsible ownership
• Handgun parts and operation
• Ammunition basics
• The 5 shooting fundamentals: Grip, Stance, Aiming, Trigger Control, and Follow Through
• Owner responsibilities — safe storage and transport in Georgia
• Live fire range session with instructor guidance

• Duration: 4 hours (3 hours classroom, 1 hour range)
• Ammo: 50 rounds

• Prerequisites: None — all experience levels welcome
• Rentals: Firearm and safety equipment included at no extra cost

What to bring: Handgun (any type) if you own one — rentals are available free of charge. Eye and ear protection — available free of charge. 50 rounds of ammunition in your caliber — available for purchase in-store.
