Intro to Holster Draw
Course Overview
This class is for gun owners who are searching for their first holster or are seeking training on how to draw from their holster. In this course students will have the opportunity to try several different holster options to help find which holster may be best for them. This course will cover:
- Importance of a proper belt
- Purpose of a Holster
- Holster Considerations
- Types of Carry
- Holster Draw Process
At the end of the class the students will have time on a live fire range to practice and demonstrate what they have learned in class.
This is NOT a beginners level course.

What to Bring
Prerequisites:
This course is NOT for the new student! We require students to have previously attended a Governor’s Handgun 1 – Intro & Basics class or have demonstrated that they have a foundation of safe firearm handling & operation.
If you have not attended a GGC Handgun Fundamentals or equivalent you may contact our team of instructors for an assessment.
Cancelation & Reschedule Policy:
By purchasing this course, you agree to the Cancellation Policy: Students who cancel a minimum of 72 hours before starting a class will receive a full refund in the form of store credit. Cancellation less than 72 hours in advance or “No-Shows” will result in forfeiture of 50% of payments and fees and a 50% store credit. “No-Shows” must contact Governors Gun Club within 72 hours to claim the 50% store credit. After 72 hours, the entire payment is forfeited. One course reschedule will be permitted for another future course date. To reschedule your course, you can contact us at instructors@governorsgunclub.com before the start of the course. Governors Gun Club reserves the right to cancel any course offered due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, all students will receive a full refund or credit applied to another class.
